I appreciate what you said about preventing costly repairs by uncovering small problems before they become expensive ones. Sometimes uncovering those problems isn’t the easiest thing to do. However, a more frequent inspection might help with that. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing this advice on taking care of your air conditioning system! This would have been really nice to know six months ago before I started neglecting my HVAC system. Now I have a broken air conditioner in this hot weather. I’ll be sure to follow this guide once I find a repairman and get the air conditioner working again.

Twice a year? Now I’m embarrassed—I’m afraid I haven’t done a heating and cooling tune-up in a few years at least. That could be why my utility bill is so high…or it could just be my kids watching TV nonstop. I’ll have to hire a professional to come in and see. Thanks for the tips!

It makes sense that you should get your heating and cooling inspected and tuned-up twice a year. However, I have never been good at remembering that, so our HVAC doesn’t seem to work at optimal capacity. Now that I know it can reduce utility bills and prevent costly issues, I’ll try to do better!

I definitely need to do better at having our HVAC unit inspected. Our utility bills are not cheap, so if these inspections can lower that bill, I would be really happy. Thanks for the information, hopefully I can fix any problems my unit may have!

I got pretty frustrated with my HVAC company hounding me about having my air conditioner inspected frequently. I didn’t see the point of spending the extra money just to have someone take a look around every so often. When my air conditioner stopped working this past summer, the company came out and informed me I needed a whole new system. They also told me that if I had regular maintenance and inspections done on it, I would not have had that problem. Now that I have a new air conditioner, you better believe I signed up for the maintenance and inspection program. It is definitely worth it!
